We have the UPS here that Karl said you should take home and try. Let's talk about that today and I'll send it home with you

Lacey

On Fri, Nov 13, 2009 at 10:26 AM, Susan Alberts <alberts@duke.edu> wrote:
We did indeed lose power yesterday but only for less than a second -- not even enough to reset the digital clocks. Clearly we need a UPS and we need to reset the bios.
This is the backup of papio to the backup server.
So, we got no backup last night. (Although we did
the night before.)
means that papio cannot talk to dumbo.
Indeed, dumbo is either down or there's a Internet issue.
Probably a momentary power problem again and dumbo's on
button needs pressing.

I think Robert should change dumbo's bios setting and have
dumbo always boot when power comes on, without having
to physically press the on button. Unfortunately this is
the one thing I can't do remotely.
