I think I just wrote up the Mac OS/X instructions because the
MS Windows instructions are easier and can be found
on the OpenVPN website. I forget. We'll probably want to write
something up. If somebody outside of duke (Erm..., Tabby?)
wants to try to install OpenVPN they can give it a go,
or just ask me to write it up. (The MS Windows install will need
the client config file and root certificate authority that's
part of the Mac instructions. That's the tricky part IIRC.)
On a related note, I asked Hunter a while ago
(Fri, 19 Jan 2007 20:37:41 +0000) to get a domain name,
papio-vpn.biology.duke.edu, for the VPN IP address,
172.16.3.1. But I never heard back. Perhaps Lacey can
bug him? It's not really necessary, but it's always handy
to have names rather than numbers.
I don't think Jun needs to be involved. Lacey could talk
with Tyler and see if he's got any tips on using the VPN.
