[Babase] Logging into the Unix prompt on papio

Hello,

At this time we are no longer able to login
directly to papio. Duke has changed the
rules. This is true both for
the command line prompt (the $ sign) and
for doing ftp transfers (which, for the
record, are really sftp transfers -- I hope.
The "s" stands for secure and it's really
a completly different process.)

Most things will work as expected if you,
instead of connecting to papio.biology.duke.edu,
connect to login.biology.duke.edu. However,
some things, notably the psql program, require
that you be logged into papio directly. To do
this first login to login.biology.duke.edu and
then use the ssh command to connect from there
to papio, as follows:

   ssh papio.biology.duke.edu

Those folks who are using a graphical program
to connect, as opposed to those who've been
typing the above command, will have to figure
out which buttons to press to connect to
login.biology.duke.edu instead of
papio.biology.duke.edu. If that's
confusing, you can try opening a command window
and typing:

   ssh YOURLOGIN at login.biology.duke.edu

Note that to do anything from a web browser
you still use papio.biology.duke.edu.

I'll be conversing with Hunter further about this.
