Interestingly enough, in the case of BLU, you do want
an absence recorded if the demography note goes away,
so that that way he won't be interpolated "in the group"
for the two weeks prior to when he showed up.
It's not as if the field team just didn't notice whether
he was there or not when they were doing the census.
They did notice he was not there, they just didn't
bother writing down that he was not there because
he'd never been there.
This obviously has a lot to do with protocol regarding
absences.... For instance there should be a absence
recorded for BLU on the census that was taken before
the date of the demography note, so that he does not
interpolate as being in the group before he's
seen in the group. Or is this right --
as in maybe he was hanging around and nobody saw him
and so he should be interpolated into the group?
I don't think interpolation exists for that reason,
right?
*sigh*
