Hi Leah,

Could you tell me again which version of Windows you're using, and whether
it has .NET 2.0 installed on it? (it's a free update from Microsoft).

Also, could you email me the process that you use to insert Excel
spreadsheets, both from a Mac and a PC?

Also, you can read Mac files on a PC, even with the date problem. On a PC,
under the Tools / Options menu, under the "Calculation" tab, there's a
checkbox called "1904 date system". For files imported from Macs, you would
check this option to make sure the date matched.

My database import program only runs on Windows under .NET 2.0. That means
Windows 2000, XP, etc. Windows 98, Millenium (older versions) would not be
able to run my program. All Mac spreadsheets would have to be moved to a PC
before the data could be inserted into the database. I need to know if this
is OK, or if it will be a problem for you.

Thanks,
--Patrick

Hi Patrick and Karl,

This is an introductory email to get each of you connected with the
other via email, and with my and Leah's emails included too.

Patrick, thanks for coming by today, it was great meeting you. We
will let you know when we have connected with Hunter, our systems
manager, and found out what is involved in getting you a server
login. Karl will get you the database login. The accounts person
Renee said that she doesn't need any further information from you at
the moment, just that when you invoice us you should include your SSN
and your home mailing address.

Susan
