Susan, (et al)<div><br></div><div> Jeanne, Karl, Niki and I just finished discussing how to handle some recent issues discovered in babase related to Rankdates. It can be difficult to extract number of males on a given date if some males rankdates occur in the middle of the month. For this reason, I will be changing all rankdates (Both BY and ON) to the beginning on the month using a function Karl had previously developed. This will simply make querying easier, and will also sync up rankdates data with actual rank data, which are all recorded on the 1st of the month.</div>
<div><br></div><div> After this is done, Niki will continue to run the queries she was running and if more errors pop out she will send them to me. I will backfill with the years she wasn't already querying and identify all situations in which there seems to have been a rankdate/ranking error and, with Susan's guidance, fix this errors.</div>
<div><br></div><div> We will also make it a top priority to get the 2008B ranks completed and those rankdates/maturedates into the database.</div><div><br></div><div> Once all of that is done, I Will also be doing checks comparing rank dates to mature dates to make sure that there aren't any errors related to this 'date' problem.</div>
<div><br></div><div>This should leave us with cleaned up rankdates and maturedates tables! </div><div><br></div><div>Cheers</div><div>Lacey<br clear="all"><br>-- <br>- -<br>Lacey K. Maryott Roerish<br>Alberts Lab<br>Department of Biology<br>
