I was thinking along the same lines.  There's a whole lot of stuff
that only you and Tabby use, including almost all the programs,
and that stuff might be better put somewhere besides the main page.
Those programs that everybody uses can appear in two places.
(This is generally considered bad form, but rules are ment to
be broken.)

As far as how conspicuous it should be, I don't think it matters.
In terms of accessiblity, it's all equally accessable no matter
where you put it.  Google sees to that!  :-)

When it comes to the wiki, the best approach is to be bold
and make changes.  If somebody doesn't like it it can always
be undone, or even better, redone in an improved fashion.
I think the only time we really need to discuss changes is
if there's conflict after the fact.

This reminds me.   I think it's about time that papio got a link
from the Amboseli Baboon Project home page.
