Hi,

I believe I've finally produced a document
describing what the Psions currently output.
I've put the description into the wiki at:

http://papio.biology.duke.edu/babasewiki/PsionFormat

I'm basing the behavior of the new Psion data loading
program on this description. If you think you
know something about the Psion data format please
take a look at the wiki page and let me know
of any errors. The new program to load Psion
data into Babase will only accept data in the
described format.

Note that this does not describe the older Psion data
formats, as the format has changed more than once.
If we ever have to figure it out we'll have to look
back through the email archives to find the bits
and pieces where we've teased out the meaning
of the data.

For some reason I've got the suspicion that there's
still a need to input Psion data that's got some other
sort data layout. I hope that the data contains
a different SETUPIDS.Setupid value (or programid)
so that the Psion data load program can distinguish
between the different data layouts. If not we'll
deal with it. Anyone happen to know if I need
to worry about a different data layout/different
semantics for Psion data?
