Hi all,

I read through Chapter 1, the Introduction. It makes for lively and
entertaining reading, also, of course, enlightening. Also, it looks
clean and complete to me. Comments below.

Comment: The 3rd paragraph of This Document says "Any deviation from
the standards described in this document should be discussed with the
project director and may God have mercy on your souls." I am happy
with this except that it's not clear who of the three authors of this
document you are referring to as the director. Do you want to just
say "directors" and be equally ambiguous but more inclusive? Or do
you want to specify a contact person for reporting deviations from
the standards? I am OK with just adding an 's'.

Comment: the 2nd paragraph of "Conventions used..." says "For
example, PCSColor. SOMETABLE.Somecolumn is shorthand for “the
Somecolumn column of the SOMETABLE table”, ..." It's not clear what
role the PCSColor is playing, and it confuses, can it be removed?

Comment: the section on System Design indicates that you still need
to globally find and replace FoxPro with PostgreSQL: "The number of
FoxPro** program development tools used in the construction of the
software is kept to a minimum so that a new programmer need not spend
a lot of time learning the FoxPro** development environment. At the
present time, this means that the programs are limited to use of the
FoxPro** language and the screen builder, no queries, reports, etc.,
are used. All data are kept in FoxPro** databases."

Comment: in "Other resources" I found a typo:tuitorials should be
tutorials.

Susan
