The answer is that there's no good answer. You can type a
number and then press the down arrow (or the n key for next
line, or the space bar for next page) and the key will press
that many times. (The hold down the alt key and press v, or
first press escape then press v goes back a page.) There's
no way I've found to go to a line number.
If you need to do this, you can use emacs. Type "emacs -nw"
and read the screen and take the tuitorial. You'll
want to know the commands C-x C-c, C-x C-r, Esc N M-x goto-line
and that the current line number is shown at the bottom of the
screen. Those three commands should get you by, but if
you don't take at least a little of the tuitorial then
you might get lost in emacs (and you won't know the command
notation.)
