Hi,

Daphne has shed some more light on the male ranks issue. There had
been several files in the folder "Susan's Male Matrix Files" (emailed
to Leah on 28/01/05) that I wasn't sure about - Daphne's email below
explains them.

Thanks again, Daphne!

Hope you all have a good weekend,
Catherine

Hi again,

>>>>>
The file names in question are "2002 ranks", "adults_2001", "fixranks96_99", "fixranks.dbf", and "newrank2000." Do you remember anything about these or possibly have access to emails to date where they came from and when?
>>>>>

These files are just the adult male ranks that Susan sent us. Not corrections, but the original list of adult male ranks (the years each file covers are apparent from the file names). I'm pretty sure the 2 called fixranks are the same - just one in Excel and one in FoxPro (I think Susan had sent it as a dbf and we needed in Excel, or something). I inherited the 96-99 and 2000 ones from Jessica (I guess these are what she used to put in the all-group ranks), and then Susan sent me the 2001 and 2002 ones (I think that was where the transition was).

Now that I think about, the name "fixranks" does imply some sort of corrections, doesn't it? Don't know if something predated that file, but that is the file we'd been using for the adult male ranks from that period.
