[Babase] Grooming Dates Rule Discussion

To update everyone on the grooming data issue, It seems that everything
grooming to this point was forced to the first of each month, like Leah
originally said. Like was decided with agonism, the few groomings each
year that were somehow not entered on the first, should be pushed to the
first, with the exception of psion data, which started in Mid-1999.
Susan would like for that to be able to stay with its other points data
in terms of the date.
Karl is there a way to write a rule for things prior to now being
pushed to the 1st with the exception of psion grooming data?
In terms of the most recent data, Leah has reported it is too late
to have true dates go into the 2006A update. It would probably be best
to make this transition to a new rule of true dates for groomings at the
start of a year. A discussion is needed as to whether we want to start
this with 2006, or wait until 2007. So, Leah this question is primarily
for you, how much work would it be to (after the 2006A update has been
completed) go back in and enter the true dates. This isn't a
responsibility you would be expected to undertake, just wondering how
much work you think it would be for whoever would undertake it. If this
would be more work than the result is worth, than it may be better to
just make the clean transition starting with the 2007 updates. Does
anyone have any input on this?

Also, Susan and Karl had wondered when AS/OS/DS distinctions were first
added to the data collection, and I tracked that change down to 1999 in
PPA.
Thats all for now. We're looking forward to input on the cutoff for
Grooming data having true dates :)

Have a great weekend
