Hi,

The conversion is presently taking 16 days, not 36 hours.
I think I slipped a decimal point in my midnight calculations
and should have arrived at about 360 hours. I'm not worried
as I have various speedups and work-arounds in mind. In any case
there's little point in working on performance until
Hunter tunes the server a bit so I'm putting off work on this
for the hot minute. I would like to get back to it soon,
so maybe Steph can sit on Hunter about this.

I'm also waiting on Steph for queries to use to compare old
and new database content. I could go ahead and write
equalivent postgresql (pg) queries but then Steph would
have to translate varagities to foxpro and I think they'll
be less effort overall if Steph goes first.

In the meantime I'm going to work on using schemas to set up
sandbox areas in each database where people can make their
own tables and extend babase without disturbing babase itself.
It's something that is best done before we run the
conversion program for the very last time so may as well
do it now. It's a smallish task so I can get back to speedups
and comparisons without interrupting workflow.

If I finish with that I'll start on translating programs
from old to new. I've plenty to do.
