[Babase] UPS devices

Just a note - we had to buy new Back UPS for our office computers a few
months ago because it turned out that the old ones were not compatible with
the true-sine power setup in our new computers (we periodically lose power
briefly in Guyot and all the computers were shutting off). So you should
probably check which type of power Dumbo uses (my understanding is that the
true sine version is the new standard because it is more energy efficient)
and be sure the device you pick is compatible.

Karl, would this do? Or is it more than we need

Oh yes, in fact, our neighborhood lost power early this morning for
several hours. Sorry I didn't think to alert you all to this later.

That's why we have the computer do it for us. ;-)

What is a teeny weeny UPS?

Uninterruptable Power Supply. Something more than a power
conditioner, but teeny weeny both because dumbo is teeny
weeny and because we don't need (much of) the usual function of
a UPS which is to supply power when the main power goes
out. We just want to prevent bad power from killing dumbo.

May as well plug your Internet router into it also. That will
prevent it from "hanging", sometimes.
