I just spoke with APC, one of the top UPS companies.. and they said that all of their 'SMART UPS' products have true/pure sine which is the same thing.

L

On Wed, Nov 11, 2009 at 11:59 AM, Karl O.
Interesting. I've never thought about this.

I could open a ticket with eracks.com and ask
them about dumbo. (We've got a year warranty.)
They'll probably help with the external drive
too, although we did not get it from them.

The problem is the UPS specs don't mention anything
and the only way to find out is to hook it up to
an oscilloscope. Maybe the best choice is to
just try it an see if pulling the power plug on the
ups crashes dumbo.

Could we ask Axel or Sal?

Ryan, do you have any suggestions?
