Hi all,<div><br></div><div> Karl is currently working on developing the Darting database structure. He and I have come up with just a couple of questions we need input on.</div><div><br></div><div>1. Do we want to be able to connect individual measurements with the observer who took them? ie: if JKW measured ulna, do we want to be able to connect those three measures to him. This would mean that if we discovered measuring errors down the road, these mass-corrections would be easier.</div>
<div><br></div><div>2. Lymph node comments have been inconsistent and Karl and I were discussing a way of coding them. It has been pretty easy for me to 'standardize' them on this end, but do we want to discuss having a more standard coding for these in the field? Normal, mild, moderate, or severe inflammation, something like that? Or a number system?</div>
<div><br></div><div>3. Do we want to integrate the mouth photos we are taking into the database? Karl said it is possible. It would require some poking, but it kind of seems like if we are developing this database now, this might be the best time to figure out how to integrate and be able to query those photos as well. </div>
<div><br></div><div>I think that's all for now!</div><div><br></div><div>Cheers</div><div>Lacey</div><div><br>-- <br>- -<br>Lacey K. Maryott Roerish<br>Alberts Lab<br>Department of Biology<br>Duke University<br>ph: 919-660-7306<br>
