The Archived_Data Schema
In this schema, we preserve data sets that are not preserved in babase_history and which do not reasonably belong in the published_data_tables schema. As its name implies, these data are kept here as an archive of data; they may be useful for recreating previous works, but should probably not be used in any new studies.
Historic Agonisms and Groomings
This section concerns the following tables:
- historic_agonisms
- historic_groomings
The so-called "historic agonisms" and "historic groomings" projects completed on 17 Jul 2018 and 14 Jan 2022, respectively. In these projects, all handwritten agonisms/groomings (respectively) recorded between 1980 (the earliest date that we have such data) and the end of 2009 were re-entered and imported into babase. Before doing that, the agonisms/groomings (respectively) from that period that were already in babase were removed, except that we retained the behaviors recorded during focal samples. These two tables contain the deleted interactions.
Old focal tables
This section concerns the following tables:
- altos_points_84to96mar3
- altos_points_96marto99
- hooks_points_84to96
- hooks_points_96to99
On 01 Oct 2024, all of the handwritten focal samples--those collected between Jan 1984 and Aug 1999--were added to SAMPLES, POINT_DATA, etc. in babase. Before that date, these four tables lived in babase_pending, and were the only electronic version of those data that were available. Compared to the data in babase, these tables have numerous uncorrected errors and unexplained gaps. Regardless, many publications have used their data so we retain them here.
