My name is Lacey Maryott and I am the Duke Database Manager for the Amboseli Baboon Project

I graduated from Bucknell University with a Bachelors in Animal Behavior.

I have done Research on Phenotypic expression of Color Vision Polymorphism in New World Primates with Dr Peter Judge as well as reproduction of the invasive species Neogobius melanostomus which included extraction and analysis of otoliths as well as extraction and analysis of gonads (counting hundreds on teeny tiny eggs from 1 fish ovary) and stomachs.

I also did a mini research project on a hypothetical Sea Turtle nest on a "beach" in North Carolina in order to analyze the variation of temperatures at different depths in the sand which has implications for sex differentiation of sea turtle hatchlings. This was done under the advisement of Dr's Scott and Karen Eckert as well as Dr Bryan Wallace.

I now spend my days looking at, processing, inputting and fixing data pertaining to a wild population of Yellow baboons in the Amboseli National Park in Kenya/Tanzania (Papio cynocephalus) under Dr. Susan Alberts.

I hope to find myself some day doing conservation work. My passion for animals, and nature can only be passed on to my children if there is something left to be passionate about.
